Guitar I Class Materials from 11/17/11

Today we reviewed our Blues Progression 1 and the C major scale.  We started playing Silent Night.  As next Thursday is Thanksgiving we will not have class.  Be sure to practice as much as possible over the next 2 weeks.  15 minutes a day is a minimum.

What to practice:

  • Grabbing chords G, Em, C, D, A, E, Am
  • C Major scale
  • Silent Night

Have a great Thanksgiving and we will see you on December 1st!

This week we introduced tablature or tab and learned the C Major scale.

Things to practice:

  • Grabbing Chords
  • Switching quickly between chords
  • C Major scale

Remember to practice at least 15 minutes a day.  See you next Thursday!

  • Master G Em C D Am A and E
  • Master playing Let it Be
  • Master playing Knockin on Heaven's Door
  • Master playing Blues Progression 1
  • Start working on the down down down up down strum pattern

We will be moving on to add new chords next week.  Practice as much as possible this week to be sure you are ready.  I suggest a minimum of 15 minutes a day.

This week you should work on

  • G Em C D Am - Get each chord where you can just grab it!
  • Let it Be
  • Knockin' on Heaven's Door
