In addition to preparing for our performance Tuesday night we also learned 3 new chords.

Please report to the stage by 6PM on Tuesday, 2/25 dressed in your Holy Trinity School Mass uniform.  The performance is at 6:30.  Please bring your guitar, music and stand.

We continued working on power chords and the F chord as well as the songs for our performance on 2/25.  We will be moving forward next week so be sure you have those power chords and the F chord down.  We also learned some of the "roadsigns" of music notation.

Last week we started using the F chord in a song and worked some more on power chords.  Finally, we worked on music for your performance at the parent meeting on 2/25.

This week we spent some time working on the F chord and learning the roots for power chords.  We also introduced 3 Little Birds which we will be playing for Parents Night on Tuesday, February 25 at 6:30 PM.

This week work on:

  • F chord - get all 4 strings to ring clearly
  • Power Chords - Should be able to identify the notes on the E and A strings up to the 5th fret
  • 3 Little Birds

In addition to review we introduced POWER CHORDS this week.  Be sure to get your practice in every day and use the DVD to help you master anything you are still struggling with.

This week work on:

  • Master the F chord (start with the first two strings and when they sound good add the third and then finally the fourth)
  • Get comfortable playing Power Chords
  • Memorize the natural notes up to the fifth fret on the E and A strings. p28
